The high technological component of the wind power sector and the global trend towards the manufacture of more powerful wind turbines, has led in recent years to the development of a significant commitment on innovation and R+D+i. We have an R+D+i department, comprising of 24 professionals, who constantly seek to develop new products of high added-value and the implementation of these to new markets.

Among the advanced equipment used to develop and applied to the foundry, the “Filling and solidification simulator” and the “Prediction tool of graphitic developments” should be emphasised, which positions us at the forefront of the industry.

From TS Fundiciones we are committed to a continual investment in the renewal of technical and personal resources: R+D+i expenditure has risen by 46% over the last four years. The increase has promoted an increase in the intensity of collaboration with technological centres and companies, allowing us to maintain a competitive advantage in the sector.

Open innovation enables us to open a channel of knowledge and expertise to external agents and not just to our R+D+i department. The collaboration projects are one of the best sources of innovation.

Most projects have address the origin of the increased power of wind turbines and at the same time the increase in the size of components, the thickness of these components, the complexity of the geometry and engineering each and every time more exact.
